Urmston Grammar would like to bring their “Pride of Lions” back home. In September 2023 we will be celebrating Urmston Grammar’s centenary. Our pride has been scattered all over the world; we need your help to bring them back home to help us celebrate.

In the first instance please accept our invitation to join our database so that we can contact you with information about our school past and present.

If you are interested in speaking to our students about career pathways or you are willing to help on our 6th Form interview day that we hold each year in June, then please tick the box to show your interest. The session for 2017 will be being planned shortly so please get in touch. Our students are always keen to hear about the world of work and are especially interested in the careers of former students.

We do love to have former ‘Lions’ to speak at the GCSE and A Level presentation evenings; if this is something you think you would be interested in, please let us know. We have had several former students from various decades to do this over the years; the stories of former students’ school lives always entertain the audience and provide an insight into how Urmston Grammar has helped to shape their lives. Over the last few years guests of honour have included; actress Judy Lowe, Radio Manchester presenter Phil Trow, Greater Manchester Assistant Chief Constable Mark Roberts, football writer Andrew Mitten and dentist James Hyde. It would be lovely to add more of you to the list.

To enable you to have access to our alumni site you will have to register. Once you have registered you will have access to see who else is also a member, add your memories, photos and also post up any reunion dates for your year group.

Many thanks

The UGS Alumni Team
